Regulatory compliance is a massive, growing cost for financial institutions: banks globally spend over $270 billion a year on it, with 10–15% of staff dedicated to compliance work. In the EU alone, a mid-sized institution has to track 600+ legislative initiatives to keep a full view of its obligations.
Grand's client was managing this with separate, disconnected applications for Articles, Agreements, Policies, Documents, and Tasks, logging out of one tool to log into the next just to get a full picture. On top of that, regulations change constantly (hundreds of legal updates land every month), and the client's process for tracking and acting on them was still largely manual.
We consolidated all five separate tools into a single SaaS platform (Grand.io) with two user roles (customer and compliance-team admin), so a compliance officer never has to leave the platform to move between an agreement, a policy, and a task tied to it.
We built the platform around an AI-enabled semantic search layer covering 30,000+ EU financial regulation documents, so a user can ask a compliance question in plain language and get a direct answer instead of manually searching source documents. On top of that we shipped Grand Policies (expert-curated policy templates), Grand Horizon (regulatory news monitoring), and Grand Outsourcing (vendor compliance workflows and contract management) as connected modules on the same platform.
For day-to-day compliance work, the platform handles document creation, editing, e-signature, versioning, and access control in one place, plus calendar/GANTT/Kanban views for tracking compliance projects and automated self-assessment surveys that roll up into dashboards.
