BrioHR is an all-in-one HR management and payroll platform built for small and medium enterprises, with customers across Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other Southeast Asian markets. The platform covers recruitment and applicant tracking, onboarding, core HR records, leave and attendance, payroll, and performance management, replacing the spreadsheet-and-email sprawl most growing companies default to.
We worked with the BrioHR team on two modules: Performance Management and HR Reporting. On performance, we built structured review cycles — goal-setting, check-ins, and manager evaluations — so HR teams could run appraisals inside the platform instead of stitching them together across spreadsheets and email threads.
On reporting, we built a centralized layer that pulls from payroll, leave, attendance, and employee records into a single dashboard, giving HR leaders one place to see headcount, attrition, and workforce trends instead of exporting each module separately.
Both modules had to slot into BrioHR's existing multi-tenant platform without disturbing tenant isolation — the reporting layer in particular aggregates across payroll, leave, and attendance data per company, so query performance and data boundaries mattered as much as the UI. We built the frontend in React and Next.js and the backend services in NestJS, matching BrioHR's existing stack.
