Amsyst manages equipment, staff, vehicles, and facilities for industrial enterprises across global locations. The client had an outdated asset center that was barely being used, and their physical operations were becoming increasingly disorganized. Assets spread across continents, no real-time visibility, manual tracking via pen-and-paper sign-in sheets, and the enterprise was losing control.
They needed a system that could track equipment utilization, flag ghost assets (assets on the books that don't actually exist), schedule preventive maintenance, and give managers a single pane of glass into their entire physical operation.
We built Amsyst using Angular and Symfony with MySQL and AgGrid for data-rich UI components. The system supports multiple tracking methods (barcodes, QR codes, RFID tags, NFC tags, GPS trackers), so enterprises can choose the right fidelity for each asset class.
The Assets module is the core: every physical asset gets a digital twin with make/model, type, criticality, purchase date, warranty, and maintenance history. Assets are organized in functional hierarchies mirroring the real-world factory layout. Locations are physical spaces with maps, drawings, and asset positions, so a maintenance crew can walk into a room and see exactly where every piece of equipment should be.
RFID scanning enables bulk discovery: walk through a warehouse with a handheld reader and the system picks up hundreds of tagged assets simultaneously. The system integrates with CMMS databases for maintenance scheduling, flagging upcoming repairs and suggesting replacement parts before equipment fails.
